Advising for your Fall 2026 semester is almost here! FYE works closely with your advising hubs all year to ensure you are as prepared as possible for this process. We're following up on our email communication last week to provide you with additional details on your school's advising process.

Preparing for Advising
On June 11th, your advising hub reached out with a welcome email and details related to your advising and registration process. In case you missed this communication, we've linked all of the hub communications below.
In addition to reviewing your school's advising hub welcome email, be sure to mark the advising checklist dates noted below in your calendar.

Preparing for Registration
Fall Course Registration will kick off for incoming first-year students in July! Mark your calendars with these dates:
| • | | July 10 – Fall Course Registration for Early Decision 1 and 2 students and students approved through the Access and Neurodiverse Student Success office. | | • | | July 13 – July 17 – Fall Course Registration for all students. |
Please note: You will be assigned a specific registration time. Your registration "Time Ticket" can be viewed in SIS. This resource shows you how you can view your time ticket in SIS. Registration time tickets will be posted in SIS after June 25th.

Additional Advising and Registration Resources | • | | Transferring Credits to RPI| • | | As you prepare for advising and registration, please make sure you've submitted your AP scores and transfer credits by June 20, 2026. For more information on transferring credits to RPI, check out this resource. If you have questions, connect with our Registrar's Office at transfercredit@rpi.edu. | | • | | The School of Engineering Advising Hub hosted this helpful webinar on understanding your transfer credits. We recommend you review this prior your advising meeting. |

| • | | RPI's Updated Dual Enrollment Process| • | | Beginning immediately, RPI will no longer require incoming first-year students to submit the Dual Enrollment/High School Certification Form. Students will only be required to submit an official college transcript, and all courses will be reviewed and processed (if approved) on the student record. Many students have already submitted, or are in the process of submitting, this document; we will disregard the contents and continue to process the credit according to this new policy. All other processes and limitations will remain the same. Read more about the updated Dual Enrollment Process here. |

| • | | HASS Inquiry Course| • | | All First-Year students will take a HASS Inquiry Course in their first or second semester at RPI. Learn more about this requirement and the rest of your HASS Core with this online resource, and be sure to ask your Hub advisor the best way to include an INQR course in your schedule! |

What To Do NOWComplete Your Fall 2026 NRB Registration
It's time to register for Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond (NRB) activities! Registration is now open and is due by Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Register here using the username and password for your admissions applicant portal.
Consider Applying for RPI CSTEP | RPI CSTEP is an academic enrichment program designed to support New York State residents who are economically disadvantaged and pursuing careers in STEM, various licensed professions and/or health-related fields. Visit the CSTEP webpage to learn more about the services available through the program and the link to the online RPI CSTEP application.
Submit Your Photo for Your RPI ID | Your RPI ID Card is a vital part of navigating our campus community. With your ID Card, you can access your residence hall and academic buildings, use your meal plan, and identify yourself as part of the RPI community. RPI ID photos are due by July 10, 2026. Accommodations through Access and Neurodiverse Student Success
The office of Access and Neurodiverse Student Success (ANSS) partners with disabled and neurodivergent students to cultivate self-advocacy skills, facilitate academic accommodations, and develop learning strategies that empower students to achieve their full potential.
Unlike in High School, you must initiate the accommodations process by submitting a request with this completed form along with documentation that supports your request for accommodations. If accommodations are extended, they are valid for one academic year and must be renewed each consecutive year by completing a new request form. Further documentation is not required for subsequent requests unless otherwise specified by ANSS.

Amp Up Your Academic ExperiencePre-Law
Are you a process-oriented person? Are you interested in public policy, or protecting intellectual property? Are you curious about a career in law? Connect with HASS about law school! The HASS advisors will review academic preparation, the admissions process, and introduce you to RPI's pre-law advising resources. RPI Pre-Health Advising is here to help you explore, prepare for, and successfully pursue a career in the health professions, while staying grounded in who you are and what matters most to you.
