Gearing Up for Advising and Registration »Next on Your Road to RPI: Preparing for advising and registration! To prepare for your fall courses, you'll go through an advising period followed by course registration. Your academic school will guide you through the process, so staying on top of key dates is essential. We've included an advising checklist below. We recommend marking each of these dates in your calendar for a successful advising and registration experience.

Advising Checklist | • | | Before June 25 – Review the First-Year Advising and Registration website and your respective academic department websites before the advising period. | | • | | June 24 – Attend the Navigating Advising & Choosing the Right Major summer webinar. | | • | | June 25 – July 8 – Meet with your advisor during the advising period. During this timeframe, you will also receive an email that details your registration time. This is referred to as your "registration time ticket." | | • | | July 10 – Fall Course Registration for Early Decision 1 and 2 students and students approved through the Access and Neurodiverse Student Success office. | | • | | July 13 – July 17 – Fall Course Registration for all students. |

What To Do NOWSubmit Your Pre-Entrance Medical Forms | As an incoming student, you have five forms to complete:
| 1. | | Download and complete the Pre-Entrance Immunization Form. Have your doctor complete (or attach) your immunization history. Login to the Student Health Portal and use the “Document Upload” feature to upload a copy of your completed forms. | | 2. | | Login to the Student Health Portal, and complete the applicable required Pre-Entrance Medical Forms, listed under "My Forms".
| 1. | | Notice of Privacy Practices Form – Review and submit. | | 2. | | Patient Information-Medical History Form – Complete and submit. | | 3. | | Pre-Entrance Tuberculosis Screening Form – Complete and submit. | | 4. | | Local Contact Information Form – Complete and submit once you know your housing information for Fall 2026. |

Complete Your Fall 2026 NRB Registration| It's time to register for Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond (NRB) activities! Registration is now open and is due by Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Register here using the username and password for your admissions applicant portal.
AP Scores and Transfer Credits
As you prepare for advising and registration, please make sure you've submitted your AP scores and transfer credits by June 20, 2026. For more information on transferring credits to RPI, check out this resource. If you have questions, connect with our Registrar's Office at transfercredit@rpi.edu.
Submit Your Photo for Your RPI ID | Your RPI ID Card is a vital part of navigating our campus community. With your ID Card, you can access your residence hall and academic buildings, use your meal plan, and identify yourself as part of the RPI community. RPI ID photos are due by July 10, 2026. First-Year Student Opportunities
As an RPI student, you have access to several resources that support your success. Detailed below are three opportunities specific to first-year students entering in Fall 2026. We encourage you to review the details for each of these, and to explore the pages linked below for more information and to see if you qualify.
| • | | JumpStart Scholars Program is aimed at supporting First-Generation college students throughout their entire first year. This program is an invitation only experience for First Generation students enrolled at RPI in Fall 2026. (Application deadline extended to TODAY!) | | • | | RPI CSTEP is an academic enrichment program designed to support New York State residents who are economically disadvantaged and pursuing careers in STEM, various licensed professions and/or health-related fields. Visit the CSTEP website to learn more about the services available through the program and the link to the online RPI CSTEP application. | | • | | Project Kaleidoscope is a 10-day transition program that encompasses an early residential program for participants to develop academic, social, and life skills through mentoring, access to academic support resources, and enrichment seminars that focus on excelling in the uniquely demanding RPI environment. Be it a club, activity, event, etc. there is something for any kind of person with any kind of interest to engage in on campus.

Advice for new students: Spend as much time outside of your room as possible, it is really beneficial to just get out there.
