Applied math, science or engineering to the design, control operation of the robot.
Is a key person involved in the mechanical design or the programming of the robot.
Is a team leader or organizer. This student brought out the best in a team.

Eligibility Requirements

Junior status in high school or the equivalent
Member of a VEX Robotics team
Taking college bound math (at least through pre-calculus at the time of high school graduation) and science courses
For the winners to receive the scholarship, they must then apply, be accepted, and enroll at Rensselaer in the following year. (Please see Rensselaer’s freshman admission requirements at: http://admissions.rpi.edu/undergraduate/admission/index.html )
