Black Families Technology Awareness Day: Student Nomination Form 2020

You may nominate up to five students to participate in the event. Selected students, their parents/guardians, and the nominator will be notified if the student has been selected to attend, along with the process that the student’s parent or guardian will be required to do to register the student to attend. Students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone to the event.

Nomination guidelines:
Black Families Technology Awareness Day is devoted to exposing talented historically underrepresented and under-served students to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (the STEM fields). Candidates for the 2020 program should be in grades 6, 7 or 8, proficient in Math/ELA  (score of 3 or 4), and either Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Alaska Native, or economically disadvantaged (free/reduced lunch) students.
