R2R: Road to Rensselaer 2017

Who knows the RPI experience the best? The students!

The Office of Admissions invites you to give back to your alma mater this holiday break. As a Road to Rensselaervolunteer liaison, you will share your college story with a group of high school students, helping them get to know the college experience and what RPI is all about!

Volunteer Liaison Responsibilities:
  • Attend a training session at the Office of Admissions from 5 p.m.-5:30 p.m. on November 28th or December 3rd. If unable to attend either session, you can work with admissions to schedule an alternative training.
  • Arrange the visit to your high school.
    • You may contact your former school counselor, teacher, club adviser, or coach to schedule a time to speak with a group of students.
    • Confirm your visit plans with the Office Admissions by completing an online form.
  • Attend the visit to your high school.
    • Arrive on time.
    • Represent RPI by wearing Rensselaer apparel.
    • Be creative and have fun presenting to the class/group in your own way.
    • Give counselor/teacher/coach the evaluation form to send back to us.
  • Submit your evaluation of the experience and your visit.
  • Celebrate your success with reflection and treats on January 29, 2019 (5 p.m.-6 p.m.)!
